L. P. Pleban was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 2002.  He started writing short stories when he was nine years old.  "Arturo and the Silk Road" began as a school assignment during his fifth grade year.  He finished the story just a few days before he turned twelve.  He currently lives in Tennessee with his parents, his two brothers, and his dog, Champ.
